Three Weight-Loss Smoothies
Losing weight isn’t just about the numbers on the scale. It’s also about how you feel! The three smoothies I’m bringing you today will help you shed extra pounds, but just as importantly, help you feel lighter and full of energy.
Serves 1
Bright Berry Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 cup frozen berries (I like strawberries, but feel free to use others!)
1 beet
1 cup almond milk
small piece of ginger
small lemon
Method:
Cut the beet into blender-friendly chunks. Peel the ginger and lemon, discarding the peels.
Blend together the berries, beet, almond milk, ginger, and lemon. If necessary, add up to 1/2 cup water to make the mixture blend smoothly!
Benefits:
This smoothie has iron and healthy fat, and is also great for any stomach problems like indigestion or diarrhea!
Cool Cucumber Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 cucumber
1 1/2 cups pineapple
6-8 mint leaves
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 cup coconut water
Method:
Peel the cucumber and cut it into blender-friendly chunks. If the pineapple isn’t already in chunks, cut it up too.
Blend all of the ingredients together until smooth, and enjoy!
Benefits:
This hydrating smoothie is also rich in fiber and essential vitamins, and stimulates digestive enzymes to encourage fat burning!
Brilliant Banana Smoothie
Ingredients:
1/2 banana
1 cup papaya
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon cinnamon powder
1 cup almond milk
Method:
Cut the papaya into chunks.
Blend all of the ingredients together. It’s that simple! If necessary, you can add up to 1/2 cup of water to get everything to blend smoothly.
Benefits:
Bananas help you feel full of energy but also fill you up. It’s the perfect weight-loss combination! The papaya is great for digestion and weight elimination.
